Hi, I'm Philip Staal, and I’m a Danish film student in my mid-twenties, currently living in London. You can check out some of my short films on my company’s site: http://www.squidflick.com. In addition to movies I love books, music and boardgames. Many cinephiles find my taste too populistic, while average filmgoers consider me too esoteric. In truth, I love both old and foreign films, but don’t think being either automatically makes a film better. I guess my approach to films are best summed up by Frank Capra, who said: “There are no rules in filmmaking. Only sins. And the cardinal sin is dullness.”.
